Ayesha's Pov
Maa!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU" I screamed when she pour a jug of water on me .
"Agar nhi uthegi to Yhi karna padega na" She snapped back at me
(If you'll not get up then I have to use all these tricks)
I got off my bed and went stomping towards the washroom, I was brushing my teeth when I heard my mother saying.
"You should have a habit of waking up early, what will your in-laws think of if you'll do same things in-front of them" I opened the door and said "Ohpleashdon'tdragthistopichinbetween" or at-least tried to say (Oh-please-don't-drag-this-topic-in-between)
"Offo go and brush your teeth first" she said with an annoying look on her face, I rolled my eyes and went inside.
I came out of the washroom and saw that she had already left my room, I went downstairs and saw Mama Papa and My brother having breakfast at the dining table.
"Lo aa gyi aapki ladli" mom said pointing towards me (Here comes your darling)
"Good morning papa" I said to papa while hugging him
"Good morning mata ji" I said to my mother while giving her a tight lipped smile to which she did the same (Mata ji - Mom)
"Mujhe bhi kbhi Good Morning wish kr liya kr.."My brother said.
"Good Morning BhAiYaAaa..."I said Dramatically and he looked at me annoyingly.
"Good morning beta" dad replied while laughing at us.
"Why are you laughing don't you have to say something to her" mom said to dad while giving him a fake glare.
"I know he doesn't have to say something, it's you who has to say something to me and is just forcing papa to say it" I said to maa.
"Ayesha why are you talking like this with mama, it's not good " Aryan Bhai said to me
"Bhaii You know -mama poured water at me while I was sleeping" I complained to him like a kid.
"And before that I tried to wake you up several times so that you could've breakfast with us as I made your favourite dish. But no, it doesn't matter maa toh buri hi hai" she said to me and started eating her food
I felt bad at how I acted I know sometimes I overreact at situations so I moved my self towards maa and while hugging her I said "Thankyou so much maa, you are the best"
"Bas bas nautanki mat karo, chalo have your breakfast it'll get cold" maa said to me while lightly slapping my head
(Enough, stop with your drama and have your breakfast it'll get cold)
We all were having breakfast and mom and dad were talking about my brother's marriage.Yup he's getting married to my father's bestfriend daughter.I don't know their family personally. I only know few of the people like my soon to be bhabhi and her parents .
"Toh hum kal ja rhe hai"My mom said.
(So we are going tomorrow)
"Bhabhi ke ghar unse milne?"I asked excitedly.
"Ha aur kal subah Jane wale hai raat ko nhi toh jldi uth jana aur tayar ho jana smjhi?" Mama said.

As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting long shadows across the deserted road, a tense standoff unfolded between a girl astride her bike, Poco, and a boy in his sleek car, accompanied by his impatient driver. The girl is non other than Ayesha
Ayesha's eyes blazed with fury as she confronted the Man, demanding an apology for the damage done to her beloved bike. Poco, adorned with scratches and dents, stood as a testament to the altercation that had taken place moments earlier.
"Ji humse maffi mangiye abhi iss waqt."Ayesha said angrily.
The Man, seemingly unfazed by the Ayesha's righteous anger, attempted to diffuse the situation with the offer of money.
"Here," he said, thrusting a wad of bills towards her, "take this and forget about it. I don't have time for this."
But Ayesha was not to be placated by mere currency. Her pride wounded, she shook her head defiantly. "Mujhe apka paisa nhi chahiye." she spat, her voice trembling with indignation. "I want an apology."
The Man's jaw clenched in frustration. He had no intention of apologizing, especially not to someone he deemed beneath him. "I don't have time for this nonsense," he retorted, his voice dripping with arrogance.
But the Ayesha, her pride refusing to be bought, shook her head vehemently, refusing to accept money as compensation for the disrespect shown to her and Poco.
With a determined gleam in her eye, Ayesha snatched the money from his outstretched hand, her defiance evident as she refused to back down. The Man smirked in satisfaction, believing he had asserted his dominance.
However, the sudden sound of shattering glass shattered the tense standoff as a stone hurled by an unseen force struck the Man's car, splintering the window.
Caught off guard, the Man's smug expression faltered, replaced by shock and dismay. Sensing an opportunity to impart a lesson, the Ayesha's lips curled into a mischievous smile.
"Oops," she said, her tone laced with irony. "Yai lijiye apke paise aur ha.. repair your car's windows and next time, maybe think twice before underestimating the power of sincerity and respect."
With that, she revved Poco's engine and sped off into the fading light, leaving the boy to contemplate the costly lesson learned on the deserted road.

Ayesha's Pov
As we strolled through the house, my boredom was palpable. Bhabhi's siblings were huddled together, whispering animatedly.
Suddenly, one of them tugged at my sleeve, urging me to follow them. "Where are we going?" I inquired. With mischievous grins, they led me down another corridor. "Let them have some alone time, didi," the younger sibling whispered, prompting a sly smile to spread across my face as we sneaked away, leaving bhai and bhabhi to their private conversation.
As we all reached a beautiful garden area, I was about to enter, but Shruti held me back, explaining that it was their elder brother's private garden.
"Why can't we go in?" I asked, curious about the restriction.
Shruti whispered, "It's our elder brother's private space. He likes to keep it just for himself. We shouldn't intrude."
Understanding the sentiment, I nodded and admired the garden from afar, appreciating its beauty without stepping into the private sanctuary.

"Ayesha, enough with the teasing. Show some respect." Parul Malhotra Ayesha's mother cut her between.
" Let her be, she's just excited. Right, Ayesha?".Ayesha's father Dhirendra Malhotra said.
"Hanji Papa".Ayesha said smiling brightly .

"They're coming to meet us tomorrow for Aryan's marriage date setting. You know we have to do so much preparation."Parul said worryingly.
" I know, dear. Why're you worrying so much? If you are worrying this much now, what will you do in our daughter's wedding?" Dhirendra said smiling lightly.
Ayesha said (backhugging her father) "Papa, mujhe shaadi wadi nahi karni."

Ayesha parked her bike in the garage, the sound of her keys lightly clinking together as she rolled them between her fingers. Her mood was upbeat, evidenced by the cheerful whistle escaping her lips.
She was just about to make her way to the front door when something caught her attention.
Stopping in her tracks, Ayesha's gaze fixed on the figure standing in front of her house. He was engrossed in conversation, his voice muffled by the distance. As she watched, he ended the call and glanced up, meeting her eyes.
Recognition dawned on Ayesha's face, quickly followed by a mixture of surprise and disbelief. The person standing there was someone unexpected, someone she hadn't anticipated seeing at her doorstep.
Her voice, filled with a myriad of emotions, pierced the air as she exclaimed, "You?" The word hung between them, laden with questions and uncertainty.
Ayesha's mind raced with possibilities, trying to make sense of this unexpected encounter and what it might mean
Ayesha's voice trembled with a mix of surprise and defiance as she confronted the man before her."What are you doing here? Tum yaha mere parents ko complain krne aaye ho!? that I broke the windshield of your car, so what? Go ahead, Mai bhi unhe bta dungi ki tumne meri poco ko dhka mara tha.. , and you didn't even apologize. I'm not afraid of you." Her words rushed out in a single breath, a torrent of emotions barely contained.
Meanwhile, the man stood before her with a bored expression, leaning towards her face. With a whisper, he asked, "So this is your house?" His whisper sent a jolt through Ayesha's spine, making her realize she might have underestimated him.
He straightened up and walked back to knock on the door. As the door opened, Parul greeted him warmly, "Vihaan beta, come in." Vihaan greeted her with a smile and entered, leaving Ayesha surprised and shocked.
She watched her mother's interaction with him, her mind racing with thoughts. "What Mom knows him? Is he really here to complain about me?" Ayesha mentally screamed.
Her mother called out to her, breaking her reverie. "What are you doing there standing alone? Come inside," she said, unaware of the turmoil in Ayesha's mind.
As soon as Ayesha entered the house, she glanced at her Bhabhi Parents and then at Vihaan, who was seated beside them, engrossed in his phone. "Namaste aunty, namaste uncle," she greeted with a forced smile. "Unhe bhi namaste bolo, wo tumhare hone wali bhabhi ke bare Bhai hai," Ayesha's mother instructed.
Ayesha's heart sank as she thought, "Now she's done it. He will cancel the wedding and tell them the reason that I broke his car glasses , and then my brother and mother will kill me." Panic surged through her as she braced herself for the consequences of her actions.
Ayesha's steps faltered as she excused herself, her mind swirling with apprehension. What if Vihaan had revealed everything to everyone? The mere thought sent shivers down her spine as she retreated to her room, muttering under her breath.
Entering her room, she flopped onto her bed, her frustration mounting with each passing second. She couldn't shake off the relentless overthinking, the endless loop of 'what ifs' tormenting her mind.
Her irritation reached its peak, manifesting in the form of aimless kicks into thin air and the gnawing of her pillow. Yet, no amount of physical release could quell the storm of emotions raging within her.
Suddenly, a knock on her door interrupted her frenzied thoughts. Ayesha froze, her heart pounding in her chest. Who could it be? What if it was Vihaan, coming to confront her about their encounter earlier? Dread twisted in her stomach as she hesitated, unsure of whether to answer or ignore the disturbance.
The sound of her friend Shristi's voice pierced through the haze of her anxiety, calling out from the other side of the door.
"Aree, darwaza kholegi ki nahi?" Shristi's voice carried a hint of impatience, breaking through Ayesha's turmoil with its familiarity. A small wave of relief washed over her, momentarily easing the tension in her muscle
With a sigh of resignation, Ayesha pushed herself up from the bed, steeling herself to face whatever lay beyond the door. As she reached for the handle, she opened the door.
As soon as Shristi stepped into the room, Ayesha's words came tumbling out in a rush, her sentences blending together in a frantic stream of consciousness
"Kaljis ladkese mainmilethi aur jissemaineldaikiyatha woh meri bhabhi ka bada bhai agarusneweddingse mana kardiyatohmain kyakarungi? Auragarreasonmaiusnesabko batadiya toh..." Ayesha's voice was a whirlwind of anxiety, her words pouring out in a desperate attempt to articulate her fears.
Shristi furrowed her brow, trying to make sense of Ayesha's rapid-fire monologue. "Hey, slow down," she interjected gently, placing a comforting hand on Ayesha's shoulder. "Take a deep breath. What's going on? Hua kya ache se bta.."
Taking a moment to collect herself, Ayesha inhaled deeply, her racing thoughts gradually slowing to a more manageable pace. With a shaky exhale, she began to explain the situation, her voice still tinged with apprehension as she recounted her encounter with Vihaan and the looming uncertainty of his potential actions.
A wry smile tugged at the corners of Shristi's lips as she processed Ayesha's words.
"Wow," she said, her voice tinged with a mixture of amusement and disbelief. "Tu bhi raah chalte logo se jhagda karne ka shock tha, na? Ab le kar ke jhagda ho gaya na kaand."
Ayesha couldn't help but chuckle weakly at Shristi's candid assessment of the situation. "I know, right? It's like something out of a drama, she replied, shaking her head in disbelief.
Shristi nodded in agreement. "Honestly, I don't even know what to expect anymore. Who knew he'd turn out to be your future sister-in-law's brother? And apparently, his cousins told me that he's quite the akdu type."
As Ayesha and Shristi brainstormed possible solutions to their predicament, a tense silence hung in the air, punctuated only by the sound of their hushed voices.
Suddenly, a sharp knock at the door shattered their concentration, causing both of them to jump in alarm.
Their eyes met, mirroring the fear and uncertainty reflected in each other's expressions. "Ja gate khol," Shristi whispered to Ayesha, her voice trembling slightly. "Main nahi khol rahi gate, tu khol," Ayesha replied in a hushed tone, her nerves fraying at the unexpected interruption.
Before they could decide who would answer the door, they heard a familiar voice from the other side. "Choti Mam," the maid called out, her tone respectful but urgent. "Wo guest ja rahe hain toh Mam apko bula rahe hain."
A collective sigh of relief escaped both Ayesha and Shristi's lips as they realized it was just a message from the household staff. The tension that had gripped the room began to dissipate, replaced by a sense of temporary reprieve.
With a grateful nod to the maid, Ayesha rose from her seat, her heartbeat gradually returning to its normal rhythm. "Chalo, chalte hain," she said to Shristi, offering her friend a reassuring smile as they prepared to face whatever challenges awaited them outside the confines of Ayesha's room.
As Ayesha and Shristi made their way out of the room, Ayesha made sure to stop by and take the blessings of both uncle and aunt, a customary gesture of respect.
However, as she glanced up, her eyes inadvertently met his-the man whose presence had stirred up
a whirlwind of emotions within her. His stern gaze bore into her, causing Ayesha to gulp nervously, breaking the eye contact as quickly as she could.
The intensity of his stare left her feeling unsettled, a knot forming in the pit of her stomach.
Before she could dwell on it further, Shristi's whispered remark cut through the tension like a knife. "Issi handsome Hulk se tujhe ladna tha kya? Sakal dekh ke toh kabhi-kabar lad liya kar." Ayesha shot her friend an annoyed glance, silently pleading for her to refrain from making matters worse.
They left the room, but Ayesha couldn't resist stealing one last glance back at him. To her surprise, she noticed a smirk playing at the corners of his lips, his gaze following them as they departed. In response, Ayesha could only muster a glare, a silent defiance in the face of his smug demeanor.

Ayesha's eyes sparkled with mischief as she turned to Shristi. " Shristi, I have this crazy idea. Let's crash a wedding tonight!"
Shristi's brows furrowed in disbelief. "KYA? Are you serious? That's ridiculous!"
Ayesha's grin widened. "Come on, Bohot mzq aayega! Think about the adventure!"
Shristi's expression shifted to concern. "I don't know, Aye. Agar pakre gye toh? It's not right to intrude on someone's special day."
Ayesha's enthusiasm remained undiminished. "Oh, lighten up! We'll just blend in and have a blast. Trust me, it'll be a night to remember!"
Shristi hesitated, torn between her sense of morality and Ayesha's infectious excitement. "I really don't think we should..."
Ayesha's persuasive tone softened. "Don't worry, I've got it all planned out. Just imagine the excitement and the stories we'll have to tell afterward!"
Shristi sighed, reluctantly giving in to Ayesha's persuasion. "Fine, but I'm doing this just for you. And if anything goes wrong, it's on you!"
yesha's face lit up with delight. "Yay! You won't regret it, I promise. Get ready now wear one of my lehenga we will tell mamma that we're going with invitationsto a wedding with your family text the same thing to your parents too"
At the Wedding
Ayesha's voice dripped with boredom as she leaned towards Shristi, frustration evident in her tone. "God, this wedding is so boring, yaar. Isse ache toh humare ghar ki shaadi hoti hai , with all the dancing and chaos."
She grabbed a bottle from the table, taking a long swig, her actions reflecting her discontent.
Shristi shot her a warning glance. "Zyda mat pi samjhi, And besides, why do we even care about this wedding? It's not like it's ours."
As Shristi glanced around, her heart sank at the sight of Ayesha's absence. Panic set in as she searched for her friend, only to be startled by the sound of shattering glass. Turning towards the source of the noise, she spotted Ayesha at the DJ booth.
Ayesha's words slurred slightly as she leaned towards the DJ, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Bhaiya, zara saawan mein lag gaye aag bajaana," she said in her drunken state, her tone a mix of amusement and audacity.
Shristi's concern deepened as she watched Ayesha, As her action drew even more attention from the crowd, adding to the chaos of already eventful wedding.

Ayesha was in her element, completely lost in the rhythm of the song "Sawan Mein Lag Gayi Aag." She spun around, her dupatta flowing behind her like a whirlwind
Ayesha: (in a drunken state, singing along with the song) "Aisa kisne pilaya, jo deewani bann gayi... Jaane kuch toh milaya, jo kahani bann gayi."
She was blissfully unaware of the gaze, lingering on her with a mixture of admiration and fascination. The person couldn't help but be mesmerized by her graceful movements and infectious energy, lost in the moment as the music and her presence enveloped him entirely.
Ayesha starts dancing, swaying to the music, her movements unsteady but filled with joy. She twirls around, her dupatta trailing behind her, and then she playfully tucks it into her mouth, giggling uncontrollably.
Adding an extra touch of drama to her already wild dance moves.
Beside her, Shristi watched with a mixture of embarrassment and growing concern. She knew Ayesha's spontaneous energy was infectious, but in this setting - crashing a wedding - it was a risky move. Shristi's eyes darted around nervously, scanning the room for any signs of suspicion from the wedding guests or, worse, the bride and groom.
As Ayesha continued to dance with abandon, Shristi's heart pounded in her chest. What if someone recognized them? What if they were asked to leave or, even worse, confronted by angry family members? The thought sent shivers down Shristi's spine, and she subtly tried to catch Ayesha's attention, signaling for her to tone down the theatrics.
But Ayesha was too engrossed in the moment to notice Shristi's silent pleas. She twirled and swayed, lost in the music and the joy of the impromptu dance party they had crashed. Shristi bit her lip, torn between wanting to join in the fun and the fear of getting caught.
With each passing moment, Shristi's worry grew. She knew they were pushing their luck, and the longer they stayed, the greater the risk of being discovered. She cast another anxious glance around the room, praying for a stroke of luck or a distraction to divert attention away from their antics.
But as the music reached its crescendo and Ayesha's dance reached its peak, Shristi couldn't shake the feeling of impending doom. They were living on the edge, and any moment now, their daring escapade could come crashing down.
As soon as Shristi got the chance, she quickly pulled Ayesha towards her and led her outside, guiding her to the car. Once inside, Shristi took the driver's seat and began driving towards Ayesha's home.
Time Skip At Ayesha's House
Ayesha shouted in her drunken state "Sawan me lag gye aagg!" Her voice filled with joy.
Shristi whispered, trying to calm her down as they slipped inside the house through the back door, "Shhh, chup kr ja, meri maa kya kr rhe hai." Her tone was gentle yet urgent, tinged with concern.
Ayesha, mimicking Shristi, put her fingers on her lips and whispered, "Shhh," a playful sparkle in her eyes despite her inebriated state.
Once inside Ayesha's room, Shristi gently guided her onto the bed, helping her to lie down. Carefully, she removed Ayesha's sandals and jewelry, setting them aside. Sensing the need for comfort, Shristi changed into something more relaxed herself before slipping under the covers beside Ayesha, who had already drifted off to sleep. The room filled with a sense of quiet companionship as they both settled in for the night.

Ayesha's Pov
As I woke up, my head throbbed with pain. "Ouch," I muttered, clutching my temples.
Just then, my phone rang. I glanced at the screen to see my secretary calling. "Yes, Ajit?" I answered.
"Mam, the meeting was about to start in 1 hour. Where are you?" Confusion clouded my mind. "Meeting?" I echoed.
"I've been trying to reach you since yesterday," Ajit explained. "I even called Aryan sir to inform you." My heart sank.
"Shit," I cursed silently. "How could I forget?" Taking a deep breath, I responded, "Okay, I'll be there in half an hour."
I sprang out of bed, swiftly taking a shower and getting ready. Tying my hair into a messy bun, I threw on a white shirt, brown pants, and my watch. Rushing downstairs, I greeted everyone with a loud "Good Morning" while stealing a sip of my brother's tea. "Heyy!" he exclaimed.
"Where are you rushing off to?" my mother inquired. "Important meeting hai maa," I replied hastily.
"Have breakfast before you go, dear. Don't go on an empty stomach," my father advised.
"But Papa, I just had tea," I protested, grabbing my bike keys and heading towards the door. "Bye everyone!" I called out, blowing a flying kiss.
My father caught it dramatically, my brother looked at me disgusted, and my mother shook her head with a smile.
As I parked my bike and rushed towards my office, I realized I still had 30 minutes to spare. "Wow," I exclaimed. As I entered, everyone greeted me, but I just nodded and headed straight to my cabin.
There was a knock, and I permitted them to come in. It was Ajit. "Have they already arrived?" I asked.
"No, we still have 1 hour," he said, shrugging. Confusion flooded my mind.
"One hour?" I repeated. "I told you one hour because I know you would be sleeping, and you might get late if I don't tell you we only have 1 hour left," he explained. Annoyance flashed across my face.
"I didn't even have my breakfast," I said angrily. "I know that," he said, and then called someone.
Soon, a few people came in with my breakfast, especially my chai.
After completing my breakfast. I quickly read through the file Ajit handed me about the meeting, he informed me that they had arrived. "Tell them I'm coming," I instructed, and he left. Rising from my seat, I fixed my appearance and made my way to the meeting room.
Upon entering, my eyes locked with someone's hazel eyes. "Oh no," I thought, "what is he doing here?" "Please, have a seat," my assistant said, breaking the tension. I could feel his burning gaze and the smirk on his lips, which I desperately wanted to wipe off.

"One of my best employees will handle your building's interior designs as per your demands," I stated confidently.
But to my surprise, I heard him interject, "No, I want you to do it."
I replied firmly, "I'm sorry, Mr. Rajput, but I can't."
"Then we are not interested in any of your employees to do it. We will cancel the contract".He said
Uff, he was annoying me now. "It's okay, do it," I said, smirking.
He looked at me amused, and then he smirked back. Our assistants were looking at us as if we might kill each other.
Suddenly, he addressed his assistant , "Miss Aastha." "Yes, sir," his assistant replied. "I want you to find out about the girl who broke my car's window," he said, and my eyes widened in shock. What was he trying to do?
"And please, I want to meet that girl's parents personally," he continued.
"Fine," I said angrily, "I will do it." I said and left the room, my assistant following behind. "Why did you agree?" he asked. "Shut up and leave," I replied.
As I entered my cabin, few minutes later I pressed the button, and moments later, there was a knock. "Yes, come in," I allowed, my tone already laced with irritation.
Ait entered, I ordered tea, my frustration evident in my voice. He replied with a timid "okay" and hastily left. I couldn't help but notice his trembling hands as he struggled to open the door.

As I entered the house, weary and worn out, I found my father engrossed in TV while my mother chatted away.
"You've been working too hard today, haven't you?" my father inquired with a concerned expression.
Yeah," I replied, managing a tired smile
"Just a boring and akdu client," I replied, anticipating a busy day ahead.
"Bhai abhi tk office se wapas nhi aaye kya?" I asked, scanning the room.
"He's on the phone with your sister-in-law," my father answered. A mischievous grin crossed my face as I dashed upstairs.
"Don't tease him, Ayesha!" my mother warned, but my father's laughter echoed through the house.
"Stop laughing. You should be teaching her not to tease her older brother, and here you are, laughing yourself," she scolded.
As I peeked through the door, I saw my brother chatting with his soon to be wife aka bhabhi ji on a video call.
As I peeked through the door, I saw my brother chatting with his soon-to-be wife on a video call.
I was about to announce my presence when I heard her voice saying, " Aur fir maine Vihaan bhaiya ko btaya that your sister is a brilliant interior designer."
Surprised that she was talking about me,So bhabhi told him about me..But why he want me to design his building interior?.I decided not to interrupt and quietly closed the door, not wanting to disturb them.
Exhausted, I dragged myself to my room and collapsed onto my bed. Just as I was about to drift off to sleep, I heard my door creak open. I glanced up to see my brother entering. "You should knock," I said, half-asleep.
"Shh... go freshen up and come," he replied, placing a plate of food on the table. "I'm not hungry," I mumbled, turning away.
"What's wrong? Tum jaise moti ko bhook nhi?" he teased, struggling to contain his laughter. "Shut up," I retorted, hitting him with my pillow.

As I was sitting on my chair reading a file, Ayesha's face lingered in my mind, her dark brown eyes, her flowing hair, and the way her cheeks turned red when she was frustrated with my design requests.
"Why am I thinking about her all the time?" I muttered to myself, shaking my head to clear the thoughts.
But just as I tried to shake off those feelings, a sudden knock on my office door snapped me back to reality.
"Sir, the car is ready" my secretary's voice interrupted my reverie. I nodded in acknowledgment, watching her leave before sighing heavily and standing up from my chair, ready to head home.
As I stepped out into the bustling city streets, Ayesha's image replayed in my mind, her presence seeming to fill every corner of my thoughts. "This is ridiculous," I muttered to myself, trying to push aside the growing sense of longing.
But no matter how hard I tried to ignore it, Ayesha's essence seemed to follow me everywhere, making it impossible to escape the grip of her memory.

At Home
As I stepped into the house, I was greeted with a scene that both amused and exasperated me.
My younger brother, Darsh, was caught red-handed trying to peek into our little sister Shruti's phone. "Darsh," I called out, my tone a mix of disappointment and annoyance.
He turned to me, his expression filled with fear, but before he could utter a word, a pillow came flying towards him, courtesy of Shruti. "Bandar kahi ka, mere phone mein kya dekhna hai tujhe?" she shouted, her voice echoing through the house as she chased after him, Darsh's pleas for mercy drowned out by her indignation.
I shook my head in disbelief at their antics, but before I could intervene, Chothi mummy" appeared, her smile warm and welcoming. "Agya beta,"
she said softly, her eyes twinkling with affection. "Ja jakar fresh ho ja, mai sabko bula leti hun dinner ke liye."
I nodded in acknowledgment, grateful for her calming presence amidst the chaos, and made my way towards my room, the sounds of laughter and teasing trailing behind me.
As I freshened up and descended the stairs, the aroma of dinner wafted through the air, signaling it was time to eat. I took my seat at the dining table and began serving myself. However, the peaceful atmosphere shattered when my Bua's words pierced the air.
"You should marry too, Vihaan beta," she said, her tone laden with judgment. "It doesn't look good for the younger sister to get married first before the elder one. Log kya kya kahenge?"
I glanced at Manisha and saw the hurt and frustration etched on her face. I felt a surge of protective anger rising within me, but I held it back, not wanting to escalate the tension.
"And besides, when the elder son is of marriageable age, why arrange the marriage of your daughter, oops sorry, sorry, adopted daughter? And that too, not a arrange marriage," Bua continued, her words cutting like knives.
I clenched my fists under the table,
"Meera!!"As Dad's voice boomed through the house, calling out Bua's name in frustration, my irritation simmered beneath the surface. "Bhaiya, don't shout at me. Anyway, I haven't lied," Bua retorted defiantly.
I couldn't bear it any longer. Pushing my chair back with force, the sudden movement silenced the room. All eyes turned to me, but I only had one target in mind - Bua.
I fixed my gaze on her, and for the first time, I saw fear flicker in her eyes. My voice rang out, cutting through the tense air, "Enough is enough. I won't tolerate another word about Manisha. She's my sister, and her life choices are hers to make. Whether she chooses love or an arranged marriage, it's none of your concern."
The anger boiled within me as I continued, my words dripping with contempt, "And if you're so concerned about our family's reputation, perhaps you should focus on your own son first. Do you even know where he is right now? Or should I go find out for you?"
Bua's tension was palpable as I confronted her, but I didn't relent. "Until Manisha's wedding, I refuse to entertain any further discussion on this topic," I declared firmly, refusing to let anyone dictate my sister's future or tarnish our family's honor.
As I glanced at my younger brother and sister, a surge of protectiveness washed over me.
"Shruti, you and Manisha can have dinner together in her room," I suggested softly. She nodded, understanding the unspoken message in my eyes, and they both quietly left the dining area.
Turning to Darsh, my voice was low but firm, "Darsh, can you come to my office after dinner? There are some things we need to discuss." His eyes met mine, and he replied with a respectful, "Ji, bhai." With that settled, I left the dining room, my mind already focused on the conversation that awaited us.
my head throbbed with a relentless headache as I returned to my room. Just as I reached for the medicine, a creaking sound drew my attention. I turned to see my mother entering, a bottle of oil in her hands, her eyes soft with concern as she gazed at me.
A small smile played on her lips as she approached, sitting down beside me on the bed. "Sar dukh rha hai na?" she asked gently. I nodded in response, feeling the weight of exhaustion pressing down on me.
"Apko itna gussa nhi krna chahiye, Vihaan, ," she chided softly, her fingers starting to massage my temples with the soothing oil. I closed my eyes, letting out a relieved sigh as her touch eased the tension in my head.
"Hm," I hummed in agreement, but as her comforting voice washed over me, lulling me into a state of calm, I drifted off to sleep, finding solace in her presence and the warmth of her embrace.
